.Pretense.

Trina jumped at the change in subject and practically shoved her excited hyper happiness back into the conversation. God, she hated awkward situations in fact she usually did everything possible to avoid them. For some reason though she really wanted to do what Seb wanted her to. In fact she wanted to do everything exactly like he wanted her to. It was one of those really creepy things about her that most people didn’t know. If she loved someone, not saying she loved him or anything just that she was developing a strong infatuation… cough, she would completely throw away her actual personality and happily adopt another if she thought it would please the person she loved. She did exactly that with her first boy friend in ninth grade, but the feeling wasn’t mutual and when she tried to explain it to him, it being how she felt and about that weird thing with compromising her entire character, he freaked and didn’t speak to her for two months.

“The farthest away I’ve ever been from home is Florida for a summer beach trip,” when my mother married for two months to a rich lawyer and then soon after divorced for an unknown reason. But she left the last part out, the situation needed some life and she would be damned if she didn’t try her hardest. “I want to hear about the places you’ve been, though!” She pressured that energy back into her voice again, barely managing not to sound strained.
