PINKY AND THE BRAIN!

Trina was blushing again. His words made her realize just how stupid her actions had been. “Welll—

“Dad!” she jumped like a scared puppy when the entrance of his father cut off her explanation. It should have occurred to her that family would be on the way, but it hadn’t and Trina’s usual ability to be completely unprepared to cope with a new, unexpected, situation became evident for the third time that night.

“Um, hi, Dr. Ostergaard,” the name sounded very foreign on her lips and it made her fidget. She realized it would be appropriate to stand up and give his father the chair, she really didn’t want to leave, but she should give son and father a little space. So she did stand up and motion for him to used the chair. “I’m going to go find a vending machine, would either of you like anything?” Trina fidgeted again. This was the most awkward a situation could possibly get and Trina did not miss the look that passed between them.
