Sebastian recoiled in his seat, one hand on the steering wheel, one on the phone. He held the phone slightly away from his ear, because her answering outburst was kind of loud. Then he began to laugh. She surely missed him, that was clear. At her voice and quirky mannerisms, he remembered that he missed her as well.
"Hey," he laughed, again, because he was sure what to say, then, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you where I was going. I just left in such a hurry, and all. Anyway, I was in Denmark." He said this bluntly, having been used to the idea himself.
